Roberts Overdoors, Family-Owned & Operated Since 1958
Roberts Overdoors, Inc. began in 1956 when Howard Roberts started the business in his garage selling and installing one door at a time. Prosperity and hard work initiated his move in 1958 to the present location just north of Derby at 6104 Southeast Boulevard.
David Mann, an employee for over 20 years, along with his wife Barbara purchased the business in 1985. In 1995 young Dave (Davey), along with Barbara, took over the family-owned business when Dave passed on. You could say Davey had been a part of this business since he was four years old. Davey continued to operate the business until 2008 when he needed to leave the company for health reasons. Barbara stayed on until 2011 when she and David’s youngest son Christopher purchased the business. Chris, like Davey, has been working around the shop off and on since he was seven years old. Chris has also worked in garage door and operator manufacturing, which gives him a diverse background in the garage door industry. Christopher is a member of the Derby and Wichita Chambers of Commerce and a member of the Air Capitol Marine League.
Statement from Owner Christopher Mann
I am humbled to be the third owner of Roberts Overdoors Inc. As a Christian and a family focused entrepreneur, I believe that faith is a key ingredient in small business success. At Roberts Overdoors, we believe that if you honor God through your business He will direct your path. Our business was built on the foundation of doing what is “right” for our customers and employees, and we’ve been doing it since 1958. Professionalism means we take great satisfaction in our work, striving always to do it “right.” If we happen to fall short of that we will do our best to make it correct. My hope is that we exceed your expectations, so you will have peace of mind when recommending us to your friends and family. We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve your residential or commercial garage door needs. It is my goal to be the company you trust enough to call for your Mom, or place of business. We’ll get you up and running, so you can accomplish what needs to be done.
